Student Leadership Cohort

We are convinced that all believers are called to be leaders in some form or fashion. Not everyone is called to be THE leader (like a pastor, for example), but to be A leader (of a small group, or the workforce, or in the home). Jesus called us to make disciples. You can’t make disciples without leading people. So we want to come alongside you to help you grow into the leader for Jesus God and equipping you for where He is calling you to be, wherever the Lord takes you next. 

The Cohort is a one-year commitment to mentoring, accountability, church faithfulness, and training. The main calendar commitment for this will be a once a week meeting prior to our regularly scheduled Student Ministry nights. This is where we will get together to grow, be equipped, and readying each other to serve. During this time there will be weekly reading assignments, deep thoughtful theological discussion as well as identifying how we apply biblical principals to our faithful involvement in church through attending church, serving in the Student Ministry, and giving. For the older members of Student Leadership Cohort, by the end of the year, we will also add the expectation that you will be a student mentor for a younger member of the youth group and by doing so, begin to pass the torch. 

This year at Momentum, we were challenged to go All In and All Out for God. Our intention for the cohort is to solidify your All In and direct your All Out, so that we are not simply all talk but we are walking out our faith and being doers of the Word.

We do want to challenge you through your Student Leadership experience, however, but you will only get out what you put in. Please be aware: You are not guaranteed a spot in the Cohort simply based on you filling out the application. We will carefully pray over the names of those who apply and decide who is the best fit for this year.
